Aging Mastery Program

A fun and informative class right here at the Center, the National Council on Aging’s program runs five Thursdays with local experts presenting information and stimulating lively interactive discussions. Over $60 value in class materials alone for just $25. Lunch and refreshments provided.

Make and maintain small but important changes in your health behaviors, financial well-being and personal enrichment.

The next 5-week session schedule starts October 24 and finishes the Thursday before Thanksgiving. Scholarships available.

Call the Center at 1-262-891-3436 to register or print and fill out the registration form and bring it in to the Center.

WSCC to the rescue!!

As we have done in the past, we will once again be selling wreaths, swags and Christmas trees. If you would like to get a jump on your holiday shopping, we have attached a pre-order form that you may print, fill out and bring to the center.   

Lighten Up!

Kenosha County Aging & Disability Resource Center will be presenting the 8-week Lighten Up! here at the Senior Center. Lighten Up! teaches how to take charge for a happier life. Series starting August 8.

New! Walking Club

Join the Walking Club on Tuesday and Thursday mornings to socialize on our paved walking path surrounding the property and winding through the beautiful Healing Garden. A variety of walking activities make it interesting, and prizes reward goals met. Start this week July 3, Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

$25 in vouchers for Wisconsin-grown fruits and vegetables will be available to seniors who stop in and sign up Wednesday, June 19th between 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. Enjoy local produce from nearby participating farm stands and farmers markets. This generous Senior Veggie Voucher Program is sponsored by Racine/Kenosha Community Action Agency.

Mural Complete!

Local artist Mary Esposito of Your Arts Desire finished painting a mural on the west wall of the Great Room. A beautiful Wisconsin farm scene featuring our own chickens and Healing Garden is seen beyond the broken out wall as a birds, a rabbit and a deer sneak in. Come and enjoy its magic!
