Feel a little crafty? Come try out our fun groups of previously idle hands. Here are some classes/groups we offer regularly.
Painting, Sculpture & Pottery
This painting class attracts aspiring artists who come to work on projects that are unique to each senior. With the help of a class instructor, seniors work on brush techniques, blending skills, color pallets and shading.
Aspiring artists can also work with clay to create three dimensional shapes. Through manipulating volume, surface, light, shade and color, seniors develop art pieces.
Eachtwo-hour class permits time for interaction between artists and instructor. Seniors provide their own materials. Cost for class is $5.

Ceramics
Interested in doing ceramics? Come and try doing a piece. We have starter pieces, paints and brushes to start out plus our own kiln on site for firing. The cost is minimal, $1.25 per class. Firing fee is 10% of the original cost of the piece. Every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. we have a lot of fun. Hope to see some new faces soon.
From angels to baskets to a bear in a tree, ceramics students’ interests drive the wide variety of projects.
Crafters Corner
If you like to knit and crochet, come together with other seniors. We meet every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Don’t have supplies? No problem! We have some available for you to use.
We’ve expanded to jewelry-making. Bring your own supplies or buy on-site at a reduced rate.
