With funding from Kenosha County ADRC and Village of Salem Lakes, WKCSCC has improved air quality from both HVAC systems in the Center with three upgrades each.
- UV filtration uses ultraviolet light to kill viruses, mold and mildew and to eliminate airborne pathogens, flu, germs, bacteria, and other harmful airborne contaminants.
- Plasma filtration emits positive and negative ions that trap toxins within the plasma filter, effectively removing them from the air.
- The third and final upgrade for the two HVAC systems, Energy Recovery Ventilation continuously circulates fresh outdoor air, warming or cooling it for efficient heating and cooling.
With outdoor air continuously brought into the building, improved air quality circulates throughout the Center, and WSCC is providing the healthiest environment we can for you. So, come on back and breathe easy.
