Who says getting fit can’t be fun? All our healthy fitness programs capitalize on how fun FIT can be!

Chair Fitness & Chair Yoga

These video-led classes focus on stretching and strengthening each area of the body, gently and effectively. Chair Fitness meets at 10 a.m. on Mondays, while Chair Yoga meets at 10 a.m. on Thursdays. Try them both to find your preference. Several seniors are regulars in both classes!

Line Dancing

You can’t NOT have fun in our Line Dancing class. Music and movement guarantee to improve mood health. All levels are welcome as patient instructors and classmates promote their motto: If you’re having fun, you’re doing it right! We meet on Fridays at 10 a.m. for this friendly fitness.

Tai Chi- Moving for Better Balance

This program, developed by the Center for Disease Control, improves strength, flexibility and mainly balance. Led by two CDC-certified instructors, this class uses slow movement with deliberate breath control to beautiful Asian music. We have several students who were referred by doctors. Everyone works at his/her own level and capability, seated or standing. A Beginner class meets Fridays at 2 p.m, while the more advanced class meets on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. Stop in and hear testimonials from students who have seen much improvement in both balance and mobility. Our motto: If you’re moving, you’re doing it right!

Fitness Center

Our Fitness Center boasts five HUR fitness machines. Pneumatically-powered to ensure a safe, quiet workout, each machine can increase resistance in one-pound increments. Or, use our smart-card system, which can raise the resistance to your desired levels and record progress. We even have a super fun iBalance machine where you improve by playing video games with your body. Plus, a treadmill can keep you walking or running when the weather prohibits using the quarter-mile walking path that surrounds the Center’s property. The Fitness Center is available any time the Center is open, Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
